BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Amherst Town Supervisor Shawn Lavin released his proposed 2027 budget on Wednesday, and it comes with a 6.9% tax levy increase.
That means an approximate increase of $11.91 per month for a $341,000 median home. In a release, Lavin said the $188 million budget works to stabilize finances, maintain essential services and fund critical programs for residents.
