Duke sees uptick in rape reported on campus, per annual security report

Reports of rape on campus more than tripled between 2024 and 2025, according to Duke’s Annual Security Report released Wednesday. This uptick was driven by an increase in rapes reported in on-campus dorms and apartment buildings, which climbed from one case in 2024 to six in 2025.
