Metro Detroit drivers finally catching a break at the gas pump

WARREN, Mich. — For the first time in more than two weeks, motorists across Southeast Michigan are seeing a consistent downward trend at gas stations. According to AAA data referenced in the report, the average price for a gallon of regular gasoline in Metro Detroit has dropped to approximately $4.54 per gallon, down 28 cents from one week earlier. Statewide, Michigan drivers are paying about $4.53 per gallon, a decline of 27 cents from the previous week.
