True Value is set to shut down operations at several locations by the end of this year.
TheStreet reports that the home improvement chain — first founded in Chicago, Illinois, back in the 1940s — will not only close its store in Washington, D.C., but also its Chicago headquarters and a distribution center in Springfield, Oregon.
The D.C. location is closing its doors as the owner — who plans to retire — failed to find anyone to take over the business, WUSA-TV reports.
