Pierce County K9 gets specialized ballistic-resistant vest from donation

Two people have donated a ballistic-resistant vest to K9 Coda with the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office.

The vest will add a layer of protection to K9 Coda while he works with his handler, Deputy Levi Redding, according to the sheriff’s office.

“Our K9s put themselves in harm’s way right alongside our deputies, and we’re incredibly grateful for the people in our community who help make sure they’re protected,” the sheriff’s office wrote…
