Indoor pickleball courts win approval in Dunwoody vote

DUNWOODY, Ga. — The Dunwoody City Council, in a 4-2 vote Sept. 28, approved the Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta’s request to install indoor pickleball courts after site plans were adjusted to improve sound mitigation efforts.

Council Members Joe Seconder and John Heneghan voted against the request, while Council Member Tom Lambert was absent from the meeting.

In a change from the original plan, the building will be constructed with four solid walls and will drop the two “garage-style” doors that would have been able to open during nicer weather…
