TROY, Ohio (Court TV) — The former pastor known for his displays of emotion during his murder trial wept the moment he sat down in the courtroom Thursday.

Caleb Flynn, 40, was convicted on Tuesday of multiple charges, including aggravated murder, felonious assault and tampering with evidence in his wife Ashley Flynn’s death. On Thursday, he returned to court because the law requires notifying him that his convictions qualify him for the violent offender list; that means he would have to register as a violent offender if he’s ever released from prison.
Despite the hearing’s administrative nature, Flynn sat with tears streaming down his face. The defendant largely sat silent, acknowledging only his name and that he understood the requirements under the law as explained to him. “No ma’am,” he responded when asked if he had any questions…
