This is a press release from the Humboldt County Drug Task Force. The information has not been proven in a court of law and any individuals described should be presumed innocent unless proven guilty:
On September 30th, 2026, Humboldt County Drug Task Force (HCDTF) with the assistance of the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) POP Team, the HCSO Marijuana Enforcement Team, and the Eureka Police Department, served search warrants on William Lavon Pree (45 years old from Antioch), Josephine Lucy Daniels (50 years old from Antioch), (34 years old from Antioch), two locations in the 300 block of Myers Flat Avenue in Myers Flat and one location in the 3300 block of Cottage Street in Eureka.
During a months long investigation, HCDTF Agents learned that Pree, Daniels, and Murray had been travelling to the Bay Area and purchasing large quantities of narcotics and returning to Humboldt County for the purpose of sales. Agents utilized automated license plate reader (ALPR) cameras that confirmed the subjects’ vehicles had been travelling to and from the Bay Area frequently.
Agents located Pree and Daniels at one of the residences located in Myers Flat where they were detained without incident. Two juveniles were also at this location. At the Myers Flat locations, Agents located 289 grams of methamphetamine, 630 Fentanyl pills in a Nerds candy box, a large amount of Xanax pills, Oxycodone pills, and Percocet pills, body armor, digital scales, packaging materials, 13 firearms, and loaded high-capacity magazines. Several of the firearms and assault weapons did not possess serial numbers and one of the firearms serial numbers was obliterated. All the narcotics and firearms were unsecured where the juveniles could easily access.
Upon service of the search warrant at the residence located in the 3300 block of Cottage Street in Eureka Agents located and detained Latoya Murray and Reginald Keith Love (43 years old from Antioch) without incident. One juvenile was also present at the residence. Agents located 366 grams of methamphetamine, 43 grams of cocaine, one loaded semi-automatic handgun with a threaded barrel, a loaded high-capacity magazine, and digital scales. The narcotics and the firearm were unsecured where a juvenile could easily access.
All three juveniles were placed in safe locations and Humboldt Child Welfare Services will receive the criminal report…
