TWIN FALLS—Sixty-four Idaho businesses raised $37,000 for local nonprofits in September by competing in a pair of rock, paper, scissors tournaments hosted by First Federal Bank.
The bank’s annual Rock, Paper, Scissors Tournaments of Champions drew 32 businesses to the Twin Falls Downtown Commons on Sept. 17 and another 32 to Julius M. Kleiner Memorial Park in Meridian on Sept. 24. Each business represented a nonprofit of its choice in a bracket-style, best-of-three tournament.
Before the first throws, teams took the stage for elaborate introductions. Competitors tossed candy to children who crowded the stage. Some teams danced their way into the competition, while others arrived as Dolly Parton look-alikes or Super Mario characters…
