A Northern Nevada foundation is investing in aviation and aerospace education, with leaders pointing to the region’s existing infrastructure as an opportunity to grow the industry.
The George W. Gillemot Foundation is awarding $59,000 in scholarships to 49 students pursuing aviation, drone and aerospace opportunities.
The scholarships can help cover flight training, pilot certification, drone licensing, airframe and powerplant certification and other aviation-related programs.
