Drive the Thruway? Budget For Higher Tolls in 2027

For instance, when I take the Thruway from Albany to Buffalo, using EZPass, it costs me $12.78 each way. That adds up to over $25, not to mention gas and wear and tear on my car. On January 1st, 2027, the toll will be $13.41 each way. This adds over $1.50. That’s an extra $22 over the course of a year. Times are tight, and we are watching every penny.
