FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – The baby giraffe at the Fort Wayne Zoo now has a name.
Meet Mac, the newest — and, for now, shortest — giraffe in the African Journey habitat.
Born Aug. 10, the boy calf is just under two months old. The proud parents are Faye and Ezeji.
He was 6 feet tall when he was born and already weighed nearly 200 pounds. An animal care specialist for the zoo said his weight of 196 pounds was about 20 pounds heavier than average…
