MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A 22-year-old man was found guilty by a jury Friday in the brutal rape, assault and kidnapping of a woman in 2022.
Adrian Pegues was found guilty as charged on aggravated rape, aggravated kidnapping, aggravated assault and domestic assault charges, plus two additional counts of rape after a trial that lasted four days.
In August of 2022, the victim told police Pegues showed up at her aunt’s house and demanded she get in his Cadillac Escalade.
The victim told investigators that Pegues repeatedly punched her until she vomited, demanded sex multiple times and prevented her from leaving over the course of two days. She also reported that he threatened to kill her if she attempted to alert her family or law enforcement…
