MEMPHIS, Tenn. – In September, the City of Memphis decided to close parts of Riverside Drive on the weekends. Memphis Mayor Paul Young told FOX13 city leaders discussed this for a while before making the decision.
“This is something that’s been evaluated for a long time,” said Mayor Young. “Instead of shutting down the street completely, what we opted to do was shut down the road on the weekends from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m., have minimal disruption to normal traffic.”
