Roy H, the two-time Eclipse Award champion male sprinter horse who lived at Kentucky Horse Park’s Hall of Champions barn since 2023, died Friday from complications related to colic. He was 14.
“Roy H was a phenomenal racehorse and a wonderful ambassador for the Kentucky Horse Park,” Kentucky Horse Park President Lee Carter said in a statement posted to social media. “We are deeply grateful for the time we had with him and honored for the opportunity to share his remarkable story.”
Roy H began racing in 2015. He rose to the top of his sport in 2017, winning the True North Stakes at Belmont Park and the Santa Anita Sprint Championship Stakes.
