Rochester man hospitalized with gunshot wound: RPD

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A 34-year-old Rochester man is recovering after being shot Saturday afternoon, according to Rochester police.

Officers responded to St. Mary’s Hospital around 1:45 p.m. after receiving a report of a walk-in gunshot victim. The man was being treated for at least one gunshot wound to his lower body before being transferred to Strong Memorial Hospital, where his injuries were determined to be non-life-threatening.

Investigators believe the shooting may have occurred near Maple Street and Child Street, but the exact location and circumstances remain under investigation…
