Carlisle Man Ordered to Serve Prison Sentence After Probation Revocation

A Carlisle man has been ordered to serve up to two years in prison after admitting to violating the terms of his probation in Warren County.

Court records show 45-year-old Michael Lawrence Powell appeared in Warren County District Court in late September and admitted to the violations outlined in a report filed by his probation officer in May.

The court revoked Powell’s probation and ordered him to serve his originally imposed sentence of up to two years in the custody of the Iowa Department of Corrections. The sentence will run concurrently with sentences in two Polk County cases…
