OZAUKEE COUNTY, Wis. (WFRV) – The Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Office is currently searching for a man in connection with a hit-and-run crash on Friday that left an 11-year-old boy in critical condition.
Authorities are seeking 37-year-old David Sitar following the incident, which occurred around 6:35 p.m. on October 2 in the 1500 block of N. Port Washington Road in the Town of Grafton.

According to investigators, Sitar was allegedly driving a white 2013 Ford Econoline work van that struck the 11-year-old boy, who was riding a bicycle, as the vehicle was exiting a residential. Sitar was reported to have fled the scene shortly after. The boy was hospitalized with critical injuries.
Deputies have since located and recovered the van, but Sitar remains missing. Investigators believe he may have traveled to the Kenosha area and could be relying on friends, family, or rideshare services for transportation.
