A Colorado man will spend four decades behind bars after an argument about how his gun worked resulted in the death of his wife.
On Thursday, October 1, the Denver District Attorney’s Office announced thatTyler Nelson was sentenced to 40 years in prison after being convicted last month of second-degree murder. The arrest and subsequent prison sentence stem from a September 2024 incident that left Breanna Canter dead in the home they shared with their young son.
