Milton eyes $20K deal to preserve Birmingham Park land

MILTON, Ga. — The Milton City Council will consider approving a $20,000 conservation easement agreement for about 185 acres of land at Birmingham Park at its regular meeting.

The agreement would be with Georgia-Alabama Land Trust, Inc and the city’s payment will be budgeted in the Birmingham Park professional services operating account.

It also allows low-impact outdoor recreation and educational activities, including hiking, biking, horseback riding, nature observation and environmental education. The agreement restricts development and uses that would impair the property’s conservation purposes…
