Vestavia goes on offense against stormwater flooding

Battling Mother Nature can be draining.

With 54 to 57 inches of rain falling in the Birmingham metro area in the average year, that’s a lot of rainwater to handle. The national average is 30 to 38 inches, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
