St. Louis County voters will decide in November whether to boost real and personal property taxes to provide services that help the county’s seniors stay in their homes.
Proposition S would implement an increase of 5 cents per $100 of assessed value, or about $230 per year on a $200,000 home. The funds would be directed into a Senior Citizen Service Fund, managed by an appointed board of seven people.
