– FIRST ALERT WEATHER DAYS: Heavy rain, localized flooding possible Tuesday-Wednesday on the Suncoast

SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – First Alert Chief Meteorologist Bob Harrigan is declaring First Alert Weather Days for Tuesday and Wednesday as deep tropical moisture and a sagging front bring rounds of heavy rain and a risk of localized flooding to the Suncoast.

“Rainfall — it’s gonna be around, it’s gonna be heavy, it’s not gonna be all day,” Harrigan said. “But when it does occur, look out, there could be some localized flooding.”

A First Alert Weather Day means disruptive weather will be in play for periods of time throughout the day — enough to interrupt normal activities.
