ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — A New York man has been charged with threatening to kill Congressman Mike Collins and his son-in-law, according to the Butts County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said Anthony Lantrell Bennett of Buffalo, New York, threatened to kill Collins and his son-in-law after seeing “information in an online story that was not accurate or true.”
Butts County deputies collaborated with the FBI’s Buffalo Field Office to arrest Bennett. He has been charged with two counts of terroristic threats.
