KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — Avoiding a food-borne illness has been at the top of everyone’s mind with the cyclosporiasis outbreak hitting the country over the summer, but there are still steps anyone can take when it comes to food safety to make sure they don’t get sick.

Whether it’s produce or meat, we’ve seen a number of the common foods we eat face recalls in the past several months.
