BLACK MOUNTAIN, N.C. (WLOS) — The North Carolina Department of Adult Correction is holding walk-in interviews for people interested in becoming correctional officers at the Western Correctional Center.
The open interviews will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 6, and Thursday, Oct. 8, the NCDAC said in a press release. Full-time and part-time jobs are available.
No appointments are needed for these interviews. The NCDAC said qualified candidates may even receive same-day conditional offers. The agency said a $3,000 sign-on bonus is available for correctional officer candidates hired into full-time positions…
