FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – A development project in southeast Fort Wayne aims to give older adults a cost-conscious option for housing.
This portion of the 20-acre Village Premier development is dedicated to building affordable homes for senior citizens. City officials held a groundbreaking ceremony Tuesday at the property off South Anthony Boulevard near McMillen Park.
According to the city’s project plans, a 48,000-square-foot building consisting of 50 units will be geared toward older adults who earn between 30% and 60% of the Area Median Income.
