GUILFORD COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP) — Two Guilford County parents are each facing a felony child abuse charge after their child suffered a significant injury last month, according to the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office.
On Sept. 5, deputies launched a child abuse investigation after 29-year-oldDeiza Rodriguez and 24-year-old Kiano Leroi Evans brought their 3-month-old baby to a local hospital with a head injury.
The baby was determined to have suffered multiple fractures.

On Friday, both parents were taken into custody and charged with felony child abuse inflicting serious bodily injury. They were both given a $100,000 secured bond and are scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 19.
