CLAY, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — National Grid is installing underground power lines in Clay to support a new Micron facility, establishing utility infrastructure for what could become the largest electricity customer in New York state.
The infrastructure project involves expanding National Grid’s existing substation on Caughendenoy Road, located feet from the new campus. Micron selected the Clay location primarily because the site sits at a major crossroads of electrical transmission lines.
