Spokane County meeting to tackle road work and data center pause

Spokane, Wash. — Spokane County commissioners are set to meet at 2:00 p.m. to take up road upgrades, a proposed pause tied to data center applications and a new criminal justice sales tax.

One major item on the agenda called for awarding a public works road improvement project at Craig Road and Thorpe Road to Copenhaver Construction Inc. for more than $2.1 million.

County leaders reports the project is still in the design phase. Plans include a roundabout at the intersection and a realignment that would remove two T-intersections and replace them with a curving roadway…
