Aiken Regional Medical Centers launched a freestanding emergency room at Martintown in North Augusta on Sept. 24. The new spot saw 127 patients during its first week.
“We unlocked the door at 8, and our first patient was at 8:03,” said Jenny Meuse, per the Post and Courier. Meuse is Director of Emergency Services and Inpatient Nursing for Aiken Regional.
