DEARBORN HEIGHTS, Mich. — Dearborn Heights seniors and volunteers are rallying to save the Berwyn Senior Center on Richardson Street, as the city considers shutting its doors — at a council meeting as early as next week.

Patricia Feliks has been attending the center for the past 40 years and says the programs there have become essential to her health and well-being.

“I come here for the exercise. I’m a type two diabetic, and when I exercise and all, I find I walk better, I feel better, and I try to come as often as I can,” Feliks said…
