Drivers navigate congestion as Northern Bypass construction nears milestone

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) – Drivers in north Huntsville are dealing with ongoing congestion as construction continues around the Northern Bypass and Memorial Parkway. Phase one of the project is roughly 70% complete, with fewer than 100 working days remaining, according to project leaders.

While some frustrated drivers say the construction is a headache, others, including a longtime area landowner, say they are welcoming the change.
