WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – Tippecanoe County residents can support crime prevention and law enforcement by becoming members of the Indiana Sheriffs Association.
The nonprofit organization works to improve the criminal justice system through youth programs, officer training and scholarships. Tippecanoe County Sheriff Bob Goldsmith said membership can help the department send employees to training opportunities that might otherwise be out of reach.
“The community wants the best officers they can get. We also want the best officers we can get. The community deserves that,” Goldsmith said. “And what this does is allows us, at minimal cost from us, to send our team members to these trainings that they may not normally be able to get.”…
