Guilford County confirms 14th case of animal rabies in 2026

GUILFORD COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP) — The Guilford County Health and Human Services Agency, Department of Public Health, is alerting residents that another case of animal rabies has been reported.

The agency discovered a raccoon on Kearn Street in Jamestown that tested positive for the rabies virus on Thursday.

This is the 14th confirmed case of animal rabies in 2026…
