New Jersey CDL school lawsuit questions evidence behind FMCSA shutdown

Start CDL Inc. is challenging its emergency removal from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s training registry.

The Cinnaminson, New Jersey-based truck driving school said the FMCSA improperly used drivers’ later English-proficiency violations to justify shutting down its federally regulated training operations, according to a complaint filed Oct. 2.

But the 236-page complaint and exhibit packet presents questions beyond that legal dispute: A six-driver spreadsheet names another training provider, the attached roadside reports concern 10 different drivers, and a scanned removal notice makes substantive findings against a third school…
