The Maryland Board of Public Works approved a $50,000 contract with an outside law firm to represent Gov. Wes Moore in a defamation case brought forward by the owner of the Baltimore Sun.
The lawsuit, filed by David Smith, references a June 16 MSNOW interview where Moore accused Smith of using the newspaper to “do Donald Trump’s work” and said Smith “was invested in by Jeffrey Epstein,” the New York financier whom federal prosecutors charged in 2019 with sex trafficking of minors.
