HUMBLE, Texas — North Shore rallied from a two-touchdown deficit in the second half Friday night, then blocked a potential game-tying extra point to escape with a dramatic 28-27 victory over Summer Creek in a highly anticipated Houston-area matchup between two Texas high school football powers.
The game came down to one final play after Braylin Causey scored a late touchdown to pull Summer Creek within 28-27. But North Shore’s defensive line overwhelmed the Bulldogs on the ensuing extra-point attempt, blocking the kick to preserve a come-from-behind victory for the defending state champions.
