Crazy Horse Memorial to host Native Americans’ Day celebration Oct. 12

RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) – Crazy Horse Memorial will host its annual Native Americans’ Day celebration Monday, Oct. 12, with cultural activities, educational programs, live performances and a community meal.

The program begins at 10 a.m., followed by a free buffalo stew meal provided by the Crazy Horse Memorial Foundation. Indigenous Enterprise will perform at 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m.

This year’s keynote speaker is Chance Rush, an actor, motivational speaker and advocate. The event will also include hands-on activities throughout the memorial grounds and the presentation of the Educator of the Year Award.
