DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) – Last-minute school bus route cancellations are causing headaches and anxiety for some Duluth families. Officials with Duluth Public Schools say the cancelations are caused by staffing shortages due to drivers calling in sick.
Cancelations cause anxiety for mother of five
Alessandra Quinn is a mom of five who has four students in the Duluth schools. She says her family has experienced multiple cancellations in the past two weeks, which has left her with a lot of questions and concerns for her kids.
“They’ll let us know about 12 o’clock, 1 o’clock unfortunately that the bus has been canceled,” said Quinn.
