Columbus, MS – Residents across portions of northeastern and east-central Mississippi face a continued flash flooding threat Saturday as heavy rainfall could overwhelm drainage systems, raise creek levels and create dangerous conditions on roads through the evening.
According to the National Weather Service in Jackson, a Flood Watch remains in effect until 7 p.m. CDT Saturday, Oct. 10, for seven counties identified in the alert’s geographic codes: Webster, Clay, Lowndes, Choctaw, Oktibbeha, Winston and Noxubee.
