Coastal morning showers, breezy & dry afternoon

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) – Heavy showers remain near the coast this morning with a few strikes of lightning possible around sunrise.

Our severe threat is over, but a few rumbles of thunder will be possible as showers move offshore this morning. pic.twitter.com/1zW6Z5Clo0

Thankfully our severe threat is over, and a cold front will push through today.

Temperatures will climb into the mid to upper 70s by lunchtime with highs near 80 degrees. It’ll be dry this afternoon, but breezy. Gust over 25 miles per hour will be possible thanks to the front. The wind will subside this evening with quiet weather settling in.

Monday starts out with temperatures in the low to mid 60s, much cooler than this weekend! Highs will rebound to the mid 80s under mostly sunny skies. If you have Monday off, it will be a great day to be outside. We’ll remain dry with a breeze from the west at about 10 miles per hour…
