Fresh off beating Texas in the Red River Rivalry, OU is looking to carry the momentum against No. 15 Kentucky this Saturday in Norman.
The Sooners, which remain unranked at 3-2 this season, have a tough challenge again this week. The Wildcats have been one of the biggest surprises in college football this season, sitting at 4-1 with back-to-back overtime wins. It begins a seven-game SEC slate in which OU will likely have to go undefeated to reach the College Football Playoff.
“We’ve got a really good Kentucky team coming into Norman next Saturday night,” coach said after beating Texas. “Can’t go 8-0 until you go 1-0. Proud of our guys, proud of our coaches for their work, their fight and figuring it out and finding a way to get it done. Enjoy this for a few hours and get back to work. We’ve got a lot of improving. Several guys who didn’t play. They’re really good players. Hopefully we’ll get some guys back here really quick.”…
