Detroit has never been short on standout cars, but this weekend’s show is putting some real rarities on display. The Shiny Rust Hot Rod Spectacular is shaping up to be the coolest indoor classic car and hot rod show in Metro Detroit.
“Live in the D” reporter April Morton got an exclusive preview of the lineup, including a 1972 Volkswagen Super Beetle modified to look like a wind-up toy car. At the push of a button, its body lifts to reveal the hot rod mechanics hiding underneath.
