ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The construction season continues in the Rochester region. Here’s what to know about some projects this fall that may interrupt your commute.
West Henrietta Road in Henrietta
West Henrietta Road will be reduced to one lane in each direction near the bridge over the New York State Thruway starting the morning of Tuesday, Oct. 13.
The lane reductions are happening because of a bridge maintenance project, and it’s expected to be done by the afternoon of Monday, Oct. 19. The Department of Transportation is asking drivers to expect delays and find a different route if necessary.
State Route 63 in Sparta
Part of State Route 63 in Livingston County is closed for a culvert replacement project. It will be closed between Parker Hill and White Bridge roads in the Town of Sparta and is expected to reopen by Friday, Nov. 6. The Department of Transportation is asking drivers to follow a detour using I-390 and to expect delays.
Mendon–Ionia Road in Mendon
Part of Mendon–Ionia Road in Mendon is closed for a culvert replacement project. The roadwork, between Mendonshire Drive and Boughton Hill Road, is expected to run through Friday, Nov. 20.
The Department of Transportation is asking drivers to follow a detour using Boughton Hill Road, Bloomfield Road, and Parrish Road. It’s also reminding drivers to plan for delays.
Route 104 in Clarkson
Part of West Ridge Road in Clarkson is closed for a culvert replacement project. The road will be closed from Sweden-Walker Road through Lake Road through Wednesday, Nov. 18. The Department of Transportation is asking drivers to follow a detour using State Route 19, State Route 18, and State Route 260.
Colvin Street Bridge in Rochester
The Colvin Street Pedestrian Bridge on Rochester’s west side is closed for a deck repair project. The city says the closure will last through Friday, Oct. 18.
Clinton Street in Stafford
Part of Clinton Street in Stafford, Genesee County, will close starting Monday morning for a culvert replacement project. The road will close between Horseshoe Lake and Prole roads through Friday, Oct. 30. The Department of Transportation is asking drivers to follow a detour using State Route 237 and State Route 5.
I-390 North
Overnight lane closures are still happening on I-390 North in Brighton, Gates, Chili, and Rochester for a paving project. The road will be reduced to one lane between Exit 16 (State Route 15A/East Henrietta Road/State Route 15/West Henrietta Road/East River Road) and Exit 19 (State Route 33A/Chili Avenue) until the end of October…
