TOPEKA, Kan. — The State of Kansas has set the boundaries for the Kansas City Chiefs STAR Bonds District.
The STAR Bond district will collect new sales tax revenues to finance construction of the $3 billion domed stadium in Wyandotte County, the Chiefs headquarters and training facility in Olathe, and portions of the surrounding mixed-use development.
District spans six cities
The district includes the cities of Kansas City, Bonner Springs, Edwardsville, Shawnee, Lenexa and Olathe.
