A nine-vehicle crash during Tuesday morning’s rush hour added to frustrations for drivers on Interstate 35 in West Des Moines, where a series of crashes and ongoing construction have left some commuters feeling they have few alternatives.
For Polly Samuelson of Norwalk, the drive is part of her family’s daily routine. Her children attend Dowling Catholic High School, and she said getting them there has become increasingly difficult.
