FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – Much of Thursday will be mostly cloudy and calm with highs in the low to mid 60s, but an approaching front is expected to increase rain chances Thursday evening into Friday morning. There could be enough instability around for an isolated thunderstorm/pockets of heavy rain, but the severe risk is overall as low as you’d expect it to be in mid October!
The wind will pick up Friday morning in the wake of the passing front with gusts between 20 and 35 mph throughout the day. Highs will also be substantially cooler than they’ve been lately, only making it into the mid to upper 50s.
A persistent breeze could prevent a frost Saturday morning, but expect lows to fall well into the 30s regardless. Midday Saturday will be sunny and cool with highs in the mid 50s…
