A former housekeeping employee at a Lady Lake assisted living facility has been arrested after allegedly stealing jewelry from a resident’s room and pawning it in Ocala.
Todd L. Wilkerson, 32, of Belleview, was arrested Monday on felony charges of grand theft and dealing in stolen property.
The investigation began in May when a resident at the Village Veranda Assisted Living Center reported that several pieces of jewelry had been stolen from her apartment. The woman suspected a housekeeping employee was responsible because she lived alone and had not had any other visitors…
