SPARTANBURG, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – The Spartanburg Police Department said that a woman is facing harassment and death threats for her Halloween decorations, which she has since taken down.
Police said that they responded to a reported harassment on Wednesday around 4:50 p.m. at a home on South Fairview Avenue. Upon arrival, they spoke with a woman who said that a man had knocked on her door and began “blasting” her with insults, saying that he was insulted by the “corpses” hanging upside down in her front yard. The woman said she agreed to take them down, but that she’d have to wait for someone else to help her as she had recently had leg surgery.
According to officers, the woman advised that the man got more demanding, grabbing a megaphone out of his car and marching in front of her house yelling “Take them down.”…
